Zurn Launches Pressure-Tru® Field Adjustable Pressure Reducing Valve to Canadian Market

Less force. More flow.

Brampton, ON – Zurn Water announces the release of its field adjustable pressure reducing valves within the Pressure-Tru® ZW5000/5004 Series to the Canadian market. ZW5000 is a hose valve used in stairwells for hose connections. ZW5004 is a floor control valve used on each floor for sprinkler system connections. Both are UL Listed and CLASS I and CLASS III.

“The marketplace wants an adjustable valve,” said Will Allgood, Zurn Director, Fire Protection. “Fire personnel demand full control under any condition – flow or no-flow. Contractors desire flexibility and easier installs. The ZW5000/5004 Series takes the lowest torque to field adjust – 40 percent easier than any other model.”

The new valves take nine ft lb torque. Both weigh four pounds less, feature a 3/8-inch shorter body, and include six ports for field adjustment. The series also offers a tamperproof shield. ZW5000/5004 can be factory set and adjusted or set in the field as needed. These PRVs can be retrofit or installed in new construction.
