Z886

Perma-Trench® Linear Trench Drain System

The Z886 features a lighter, yet strong, structure with the longest channels in the industry. That means no heavy lifting, no extra equipment, and fewer parts and helping hands for the contractor. It’s engineered to reduce installation time and labor without compromising performance down the road.

  • 80-inch modular sections require less manpower and fewer joints than comparable models.
  • Channel’s rebar clips allow for quick and simple height adjustment.
  • Combination tie-down/leveling clips at 20-inch intervals help clinch the perfect slope.
  • Mechanical interlocking ends create a secure hold when carrying, aligning or leveling.
  • Radiused bottom increases the low-volume flow rate and reduces sediment.
  • High density polyethylene construction wicks away moisture, eliminates leaks, and won’t corrode.
  • Optional debris cover shields the trench to prevent delays for cleanout.

Can angles other than 45's and 90's be created for trench drains?

  • Yes, we can create specials with different angles please contact your Zurn customer service representative for more information.

Does the Z886 have a UV inhibitor built into the plastic?

  • Yes, the Z886 does have a UV inhibitor built into the plastic.

How can we connect between a trench drain and basin that are side-by-side?

  • There are two viable connection methods: 1. A bottom outlet can be used on the trench, piping over to the basin with standard pipe fittings. 2. We can fabricate a side outlet at the end of the last channel on the trench drain. Please contact Zurn Engineering for more information.

What is the maximum temperature of water the Z886 can handle?

  • The Z886 can handle water temperatures up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.  If higher temperatures will be passing through the trench, the Z806 can handle water temperatures up to 150 degrees Fahrenheit, and the ZV806 can handle water temperatures up to 210 degrees Fahrenheit.

What type of catch basins can be used with the Z886 drain system?

  • The Z887-6, Z887-12, or Z887-24 catch basins can be used with the Z886 system.

Will the Z886-SVF-RPSRC withstand car traffic?

  • No, it will not withstand car traffic.  The -SVF is only a veneer and is not intended for dynamic loading.  The -HDS frame would need to be used.
